1. Who we are

DetailQuote (the "Service") is operated by BrightSteps Digital LLC, a limited liability company organised under the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, located in Pickerington, Ohio 43147 ("we," "us," or "our"). You can reach us at contact@mydetailquote.com.

2. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms") and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

3. Who may use the Service

You must be at least 18 years old to use DetailQuote. By using the Service you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, you represent that you are authorised to bind that business to these Terms.

4. What the Service does

DetailQuote is a free, browser-based tool for generating PDF quotes for mobile vehicle-detailing work. The tool runs entirely in your browser: the form, live preview, and PDF generation all execute client-side. No account, signup, or payment is required.

5. License to use the Service

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your lawful business or personal use. You may use the PDFs you create for any lawful purpose, including distributing them to your customers.

6. Your quotes are your own

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legal sufficiency of the quotes you generate, including prices, taxes, fees, vehicle descriptions, terms, and any other content you enter. We do not review, verify, or guarantee any quote, and we are not a party to any agreement between you and your customers. Nothing in a quote constitutes tax, legal, or accounting advice.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
Use the Service to create misleading, fraudulent, defamatory, or harassing documents;
Attempt to probe, scan, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or circumvent any security or rate-limiting feature of the Service;
Submit content that infringes another party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
Submit automated or bulk requests to the early-access form or any other endpoint;
Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

8. Intellectual property

The DetailQuote name, logo, design, code, and marketing copy are owned by BrightSteps Digital LLC. These Terms do not grant you any ownership of the Service itself. The PDFs you create with the Service belong to you — we claim no rights in the content you enter (your business info, customer info, line items, logo, etc.). Do not submit content you do not have the right to use.

9. Third-party services

The Service uses third-party providers (including Vercel, Cloudflare, Resend, and Google) to operate. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of those providers or for any third-party websites linked from the Service.

10. Early-access list

If you submit your email to the "Notify me" list, you are opting in to receive one or more emails when a Pro version of the Service launches. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing contact@mydetailquote.com. See the Privacy Policy for how that email is stored and retained.

11. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time by posting a revised version; material changes will be highlighted. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING (WITHOUT LIMITATION) THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. We do not warrant the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any quote, calculation, or PDF generated by the Service. You use the Service at your own risk.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL BRIGHTSTEPS DIGITAL LLC, ITS OFFICERS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, the exclusions and limitations above apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless BrightSteps Digital LLC and its officers, members, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to (a) your use of the Service, (b) any content you enter into the Service, (c) any quote or agreement between you and your customers, or (d) your violation of these Terms or of any applicable law.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 6, 8, and 12–17) will survive.

16. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Franklin County, Ohio, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

17. Miscellaneous

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and BrightSteps Digital LLC with respect to the Service. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision will not be considered a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them without restriction.
